The drying of the Aral Sea is a relevant current environmental problem. A charity Ecological festival which was held recently in the Tashkent Circus has no global environmental agendas. Instead the “We Give to the Children of Aral” is organized to collect humanitarian aid for the children who live near the Aral Sea. The environmental problems directly reflect on local people. The attraction of public attention via art is always very effective, say organizers. The concert program involves the participation of pop stars, which is an important part of the festival. Even though artists live far away from the disaster zone, everyone understands that the Aral Sea situation is a global catastrophe.
